Welcome to Oceantrax

Welcome to our About Us page! Here, you'll find a brief introduction about myself and Oceantrax. We believe it's essential for you, as our client, to learn a bit about my background and the company's history, as well as to connect a face to the emails and phone calls we exchange.

My Story

In 2016, I founded Oceantrax after over two decades of experience in the marine industry.

Growing up in Cornwall, I studied Small Yacht Design and Construction at Falmouth Marine School. After graduation, I trained as a dinghy and windsurfing instructor in Falmouth Bay, later moving to Greece with Sunsail and then to the Canary Islands to further my watersports instruction.

As I transitioned from dinghies and windsurfing to yacht sailing, I earned my Yacht Master qualification with a motorboat endorsement and spent three additional years working on both charter and private yachts across southern France, Greece, Turkey, and Italy.

Seeking new adventures, I took a year-long position in the British Virgin Islands managing a charter yacht for The Moorings, followed by a further year operating a Dynamic 62 charter yacht throughout the Caribbean. Between charter and private yacht contracts, I completed various yacht deliveries for companies like Reliance and PYD, while also overseeing refit projects in Antibes and Trinidad.

Throughout these years, I built a strong network of contacts and gained invaluable experience that I now leverage to ensure seamless deliveries. Yacht deliveries became my passion, as the extensive distances, diverse vessels, and opportunity to explore new locations captivated my interest.

Thus, Oceantrax was created and has gradually expanded from just myself to a team of several skippers, along with contracts with various brokers and numerous worldwide deliveries for private clients each year.

Despite recent challenges posed by COVID and the complexities of Brexit, Oceantrax continues to grow, we are excited about our future expansion.
